Three Wishes
Written at age fifteen
The little fairy came
Once in my dreamy dreams
Dressed in peace
Wearing beautiful calmness
She came to my heart
Asked, “What do you want?
I, from His land have
Come to grant you 3 wishes”
3 wishes? I was shocked
A fairy and only 3 wishes?
I have so much to take
So much to… to…
To take what? I thought…
Nothing! I wanted nothing
Atleast nothing from me
“money - ruled” materialistic world
My first wish was
I admit, a selfish one
But I convinced her
And her heart did I win
I requested her, the fairy
To give me the strength
To live my life fully
Without facing any regrets
I did not want
At any point of my life
To turn back and then think
I shouldn’t have done that
My second wish was
However abstract
A true definition
Was that I lacked
I wanted, Him to
Come to me someday
With a lot of…
Time to spare for me
I wanted to ask him
Hundreds, no, thousands of queries
Those unanswered questions
Which lived at the back of my head
The one last wish
I wished her to
Grant this ordinary girl
Was that I always ask God
Let Good Things Happen
To Good People (please)
